Reverse Your Fatty Liver White Bean Hummus
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
- 4 large garlic cloves, with skins still on
- 2 cans great Northern beans, drained & rinsed
- 2 tbsp tahini
- 4-5 tbsp hot sauce
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp hot water
- 1 tbsp Frontier Smoked Paprika Ground
- 1/2 tsp salt to taste
Instructions
Roast your bell pepper and garlic.
- Preheat an oven to 425 and line a sheet pan with foil.
- Place the chopped bell pepper and garlic (with the skins on) on the pan.
- Roast for about 12 minutes until the bell pepper edges are beginning to brown.
Prepare Hummus mixture
- Add all of the remaining ingredients to your blender.
- Blend until smooth. You might need to scrape the sides to let everything get blended together evenly.
- Add the cooked bell peppers and garlic (remove the skins now).
- Blend for 1-2 minutes.
- Taste, if it needs more spice – add more hot sauce.
- Transfer into a bowl and garnish with more hot sauce, chopped onions or parsley.
