Reverse Your Fatty Liver Tomato and Lentil Soup
Ingredients
- 4 1/2 cup water
- 2/3 cup dry brown lentils(rinsed)
- 1 medium onion(diced)
- 4 medium carrots(peeled and sliced)
- 1 6 oz can tomato paste
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp fresh parsley(minced)
- 1 Tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp thyme(dried)
- 1/4 tsp each of dill weed, tarragon and pepper.
Instructions
- Combine water, lentils, onions and carrots in a large soup pot.
- Bring to a boil.
- Cover and reduce heat.
- Simmer for 20-25 minutes until lentils and vegetables are tender.
- Add remaining ingredients and return to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 5 more minutes; then serve.
