Reverse Your Fatty Liver Tomato and Lentil Soup

Ingredients
  

  • 4 1/2 cup water
  • 2/3 cup dry brown lentils(rinsed)
  • 1 medium onion(diced)
  • 4 medium carrots(peeled and sliced)
  • 1 6 oz can tomato paste
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp fresh parsley(minced)
  • 1 Tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp thyme(dried)
  • 1/4 tsp each of dill weed, tarragon and pepper.

Instructions
 

  • Combine water, lentils, onions and carrots in a large soup pot.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Cover and reduce heat.
  • Simmer for 20-25 minutes until lentils and vegetables are tender.
  • Add remaining ingredients and return to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 5 more minutes; then serve.
