Reverse Your Fatty Liver Smokey Sweet Beans & Tomatoes
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp Bragg Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 medium onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp sweet & smokey paprika
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 15 oz cans butter beans(lima beans) drained and rinsed
- 2 15 oz cans whole peeled tomatoes
- salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 large handfuls fresh spinach rinsed well and towel dried-roughly chopped
Instructions
- Heat the oil over medium heat in a large saucepan.
- Add the onions and cook 3-5 minutes until translucent but not browned.
- Add the garlic, paprika and bay leaves and cook for another minute.
- Add the tomatoes and break them up a bit.
- Add the beans and season with salt and pepper.
- Stir well, reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and stir in the spinach. Cover for 5 minutes, to just wilt the spinach.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and enjoy!
