Reverse Your Fatty Liver Beet Hummus

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can chickpea/garbanzo beans
  • 2 small beets
  • 2 cloves garlic cloves (whole, peeled)
  • juice from 1/2 lemon
  • 2 tsp tahini
  • pinch salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Rinse and cut roots off beets.
  • Place beets in pot over medium/high heat and cover with water.
  • Once water starts to boil, bring down heat to medium and continue to cook until beets are soft and tender (use a fork to poke them).
  • Once soft & tender, remove from pot and place aside until finished with next steps.
  • Place chickpeas in your blender along with garlic, lemon juice, tahini and salt.
  • When beets are cool enough place them in the blender as well and process until everything is creamy.
  • Taste and feel free to add more lemon, more salt, or more tahini as you wish.
